Sometimes the simple things are the best things in life – such as sunsets, good conversations, and these chocolate chip cookie bars. They are crunchy on the outside, have a chewy centre and are one of the easiest things to make. I actually brought these cookie bars for people at school and they seemed to enjoy them, so I hope you will too.
Flourless Chocolate Hazelnut Cake
Who doesn’t love chocolate? No one I hope. Luckily, it is the school holidays and I have somehow managed to upload another recipe post – on chocolate.
So today I wanted to talk about my life as a fifteen year old girl. On a usual school day, we wake up and have breakfast (obviously). Then we go to our classes where we listen (although not all the time), learn and do work. However, out of everything that happens at school, the best part is when we see people who make us feel alive. I might be the only person who feels this way, and I am most likely the first person to say that l actually enjoy school.
Everyone is extremely witty, smart, genuine, funny and kind, so usually in the morning, before classes start, there are people who you talk to that have the ability to brighten your day. During these conversations, you laugh at silly things, you smile and I guess you feel happy.
Fresh Strawberry Tart
It is a funny thing living in the 21st century, because I have been given the opportunity to finally start a blog. Yes, my very own blog. So what is so funny about living in this world? There is this crazy thing called the internet – a tool which allows people to share, show, and teach others about anything and everything – but I want to use Beyond Our Sky as an inspiration for people to appreciate the little things in life, and encourage them to follow their dreams. So here is my very first post; the recipe for a delicious strawberry tart.
The tart features a sweet, shortcrust pastry that is filled with a rich, crème patissiere and topped with fresh strawberries. It is best eaten a day after it’s made as it allows the pastry to, quite literally, melt in your mouth along with the vanilla bean infused custard. CONTINUE
