It’s been a while since I last posted a layer cake recipe, and I’ve seen so many pictures of caramel drips on Pinterest I just had to try it. So this is, no doubt, one of the prettiest cakes I have ever made.

Praline Cream Puffs
Gluten-free + Dairy-free Orange and Poppy Seed Cake
This is just another quick blog post for one of my favourite cakes. It uses whole oranges which gives it that bright orange colour. I decorated them with a glaze and edible pansies, because flowers make everything look better.
Vegan Chocolate Popsicles (Dairy-free, Gluten-free)
I know my last post was back in July, but another busy term is finally over and the blog is now updated. There are some pretty major things that have happened over the past few weeks. Surreal, really, is the best way to describe it. So I am very excited to share this news with you, as well as the recipe for these dairy-free chocolate popsicles. They are rich, chocolatey, fudgy and simply delicious.
Strawberry Tart {Updated Recipe}
I never thought I would be posting a strawberry tart recipe for the second time (see previous post here!). Let alone posting anything for a second time. Since the previous version of the recipe was actually my very first blog post, not only has the photography improved but so has the recipe. It is probably the best tart I have ever made. Hands down.
Victoria Sponge Cake {1 Year Blog Anniversary}
At the beginning of grade 10, we needed to write a letter to our “future selves” – meaning that we would receive this letter by the end of grade 12. So the only memory of what I wrote, which is ingrained in my mind, is having the courage to one day start a blog or YouTube channel. But little did I know, about 2 months after this, that Beyond Our Sky was going to be born. So here is a collection of photographs from over past year that have become some of my very favourites, as well as a Victoria sponge cake to celebrate!
White Chocolate and Raspberry Macarons
I know it’s been a while since I last posted and I am very sorry. I’m not a lazy blogger or anything, it just gets a little difficult sometimes with school (especially in grade 11!), assessment and sport. I can’t say that it was the most enjoyable first term because, quite truthfully, it was one of the hardest. But you can only go up from here, right? Right (hopefully).
Mocha Chocolate Cake + Mocha Macarons
Welcome to 2017! I know it’s a little late and I haven’t posted anything in over a month, but over the past few weeks I’ve been busy travelling with my family. So we just came back from Whistler last week, and being Australian, it’s not everyday you find yourself putting on two layers of thermals, a thick ski jacket, gloves and a beanie just to go outside. From -17°C to temperatures of over 30°C, the climate really can’t get any more extreme.
