This is the second sorbet/ice cream recipe I’ve posted for the summer holidays, but it is by far the best one. So here is the recipe for a vanilla bean ice cream with a strawberry swirl, and let me tell you – it will be the best ice cream you will ever have. No joke. Like seriously.

Linzer Cookies: Vanilla + Strawberry and Chocolate
These cookies are the perfect Christmas gift, and what’s even better about them is that you can make two different flavours from the same dough. So there are vanilla cookies with strawberry jam and chocolate cookies with a chocolate ganache filling.
Raspberry and Strawberry Naked Cake Recipe
A naked cake is essentially a cake without any frosting on the outside. And to be completely honest; I’m not a big fan of frosting because it’s usually too sweet, especially buttercream, so I think this cake is perfect.
Baked Cheesecake
My favourite desert is probably a baked cheesecake, and the funny thing is I never use to like it until this cheesecake. It is made with lemon zest and the seeds from a vanilla bean to produce a wonderfully fresh flavour, whilst the texture is extremely creamy and quite light.
Most recipes call for a double boiler and the addition of flour; this is to prevent the chances of cracking on the top. However, I assure you that these steps are not necessary – as long as your ingredients are at room temperature and you don’t beat too much air into the batter, there will be absolutely no cracks. So it’s actually simpler than you think.
Today’s post is a little different as I have created a stop motion video. It doesn’t show the precise instructions but it gives you a general idea. Sorry – I know the stop motion is not completely smooth so please bear with me.CONTINUE
Fresh Strawberry Tart
It is a funny thing living in the 21st century, because I have been given the opportunity to finally start a blog. Yes, my very own blog. So what is so funny about living in this world? There is this crazy thing called the internet – a tool which allows people to share, show, and teach others about anything and everything – but I want to use Beyond Our Sky as an inspiration for people to appreciate the little things in life, and encourage them to follow their dreams. So here is my very first post; the recipe for a delicious strawberry tart.
The tart features a sweet, shortcrust pastry that is filled with a rich, crème patissiere and topped with fresh strawberries. It is best eaten a day after it’s made as it allows the pastry to, quite literally, melt in your mouth along with the vanilla bean infused custard. CONTINUE
